| in a nutshell |
I
developed a web site for a dog breeder to promote sales of
their puppies. |

I designed and developed a low-cost, online-presence-style web
site for Basset Country Breeders to showcase their adorable
basset hound puppy litters. Scott and Michelle Ellis, owners
of the establishment, love the site and are really happy
with the responses it has generated from potential customers.
The site's features include the following:
- sharp, clean, professional appearance
- consistent look-and-feel across the site
- intuitive navigation
- customized, low-cost professional graphics (see
sample below)
- optimized image file sizes and page sizes for shorter download
times
- custom "contact page" and prominent contact links
to make the breeders readily accessible to the site's visitors
- contact links concealed from "e-mail harvesters"
- compatible with all major browsers on all major computing
platforms
- understated "rollover effects" for main navigational
links enhance site's interactivity and aesthetic appeal
- visitor count on front page
- rock-bottom-priced web
hosting package with exceptional, personalized technical
support
- all pages spell-checked to ensure highest professional
image
-
As a free added service, I continue to resubmit
the site to search engines (e.g., Yahoo, AltaVista, etc.) on
a monthly basis to ensure good placement in searches conducted
by potential clients and other contacts.
- I'm currently working with Basset Country Breeders to enable
them to update and maintain the site on their own.

low-cost
professional photos
Oftentimes, professional photos can make the
difference between a ho-hum web site and a web site that really
shines. But unfortunately, the cost of such photos up to
$100 a pop can be prohibitive for small businesses on a
tight budget. Such was the case with Basset Country Breeders.
But thanks to CompuSmile's membership at ArtToday.com,
I was able to procure for my client a whole slew of fantastic photographs
of basset hounds all with a wonderful rustic, "old-tyme" feel for
FREE! No upfront cost, no royalties, no nuthin! All they required
was a little digital touchup. :-)
Check out some examples of the final images below.

"Scott did a great job working with us to
build a site that portrayed our small business the way we wanted.
We're proud to have indoctrinated him into the elite community
