I designed and built for New Wealth, Inc. the
lifeblood of its operations, NewWealthFunds.com.
The web site is the primary tool the firm uses to manage its clients'
investments. (See
sample screenshots below.)
The site's basic functionality consists of the following items:
- Through the site, New Wealth's administrators can manage the
accounts of their clients, manage the accounts of their brokers,
and manage the funds the firm offers to its clients.
- New Wealth's clients can view the values of their portfolios
on a daily basis, update their contact information, view profiles
for the funds in which they may wish to invest, and get in touch
with the firm through a custom contact form.
- Brokers bringing clients to the firm can view the values of
their commissions on a daily basis, and they have access to all
the features of the site available to their clients.
The web site's features include the following:
- dynamic, database-driven content
- user login with password protection
- "role-based" security to present different views
and feature sets to different types of visitors (e.g., potential
clients, paying clients, administrators, brokers)
- SSL ("https") encryption for additional security
- near-real-time financial performance graphs imported directly
from Yahoo
- context-sensitive help system
- mission-critical data backed-up on a daily basis
- sharp, clean, professional appearance
- consistent look-and-feel across the site
- intuitive navigation
- optimized image file sizes and page sizes for shorter download
times
- custom "contact page" and prominent contact links
- contact links concealed from "e-mail harvesters"
- compatible with all major browsers on all major computing platforms
- understated "rollover effects" for main navigational
links enhance site's interactivity and aesthetic appeal
- all pages spell-checked to ensure highest professional image

"Scott delivered exactly what I asked for.
He took the time to understand my business; he kept me well-informed
of the project's status as his work progressed; he explained our
options in overcoming any technical hurdles that arose; and he
took extra efforts to keep my costs down."
