• In conjunction with my direct client, WordKraft Business Writing, I developed an intranet training site for the Timken Company, an international, multi-billion-dollar bearings manufacturer and steel producer. (See sample screenshots below.)

• I proofread, refined, and animated several training-related PowerPoint presentations, making them easier-to-read, better-understandable, and more aesthetically-pleasing to their target audience.
  

• I optimized the file sizes of the PowerPoint presentations, removing up to 80% — or several megabytes' worth — of data from their original versions. Optimizing the file sizes drastically reduced the files' download times, making employees' access to the presentations feasible from their homes.
  

• I constructed several self-scoring tests and incorporated them into the intranet to gauge the employees' understanding of the PowerPoint presentations.
  

• I created a CD-based version of the site, making its home page pop up on-screen automatically upon insertion of the CD.
  

• I converted Excel spreadsheets into an Access database, ensuring valid data formats and removing duplicate records programmatically.
  

• I provided ready technical support to answer the questions of both WordKraft and Timken clients.

Timken's training site is on an intranet (and thus inaccessible to anyone but privileged users), but the following screenshots demonstrate its basic look-and-feel.
